Meet Shane - Founder of Timmo the Handyman
Hi, I’m Shane, the bloke behind Timmo the Handyman.
I grew up in the heart of Far North Queensland, in Townsville. Back then, nearly all my mates were tradies, so most weekends you’d find me lending a hand on their building projects. From carpentry and plumbing to renovations and general construction, I was in it, learning by doing and loving every second.
Even though I went on to spend over 30 years with Wesfarmers as an operations manager, the hands-on work always called me back. I gained a deep understanding of systems, service, and what it takes to run a business properly, but I never lost my love for practical, honest, skilled work. In 2020, I decided it was time to combine that corporate experience with my lifelong trade skills, and launched Timmo the Handyman here in Melbourne.
Since then, I’ve built the business on a few simple values: show up when you say you will, do the job right the first time, and treat people’s homes with the same respect you’d treat your own. Whether it’s a small fix or a full-scale renovation, I take pride in delivering high-quality results backed by genuine service and good old-fashioned reliability.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Quotations: The quotation provided is for the labour and materials required for the specific project. Any additional works requested by the client will be subject to a separate quotation.
2. Materials: The cost of materials may be subject to change due to fluctuations in market prices or availability. In such cases, the client will be notified of any changes to the original quotation before any additional materials are purchased.
3. Labour costs: The labour costs outlined in the quotation are based on the scope of work and estimated time required to complete the project. Any unforeseen circumstances that may arise during the project may result in additional labour costs. In such cases, the client will be notified of any changes to the original quotation before any additional work is carried out.
4. Payment: Payment is due upon completion of the project and is payable by cash or bank transfer. A deposit may be required for larger projects, and payment terms will be outlined in the quotation.
5. Warranty: Timmo the Handyman provides a warranty on all work carried out for a period of 12 months from the date of completion. This warranty covers any defects in workmanship or materials used during the project.
6. Liability: Timmo the Handyman carries public liability insurance to cover any damage caused during the project. However, the client is responsible for ensuring that any valuable or fragile items are removed from the work area prior to the commencement of work.
7. Cancellation: If the client wishes to cancel the project after the work has commenced, they will be liable for any costs incurred up to that point.
By accepting the quotation, the client agrees to the above terms and conditions.
